Kenwood - Kenwood Corporation first started in 1946 as the Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd. in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan and is a Japanese manufacturer of amateur radio as well as Hi-Fi and portable audio equipment.  In 1960 the firm was renamed "Trio Corporation" and in 1963 the first overseas office was renamed Kenwood USA and located in Los Angeles, California.  Kenwood has offered various different audio components including VHF/UHF and portable radios but they are most recognized for their High-Frequency Transceivers.

Double DIN – DIN refers to the standard size for car audio head units and was originally established by Germany. DIN stands for Deutches Institut fur Normung and this standard was adopted as the international standard in 1984. Single DIN is 180 x 50 mm panel and double DIN is 180 x 100 mm panel size.

The DVD is nice and big, has a great touch screen, can navigate easily through songs, it's still easy to see on sunny days, and has a fantastic sound! Great GPS system and easy to install.”

I got the Garmin navigation option to accompany this unit and was amazed at how easy it was to use and how accurate it was. The video display is crisp and clear but there are no screensavers, though. DVD look great and the remote is easy to use (although, if you lose the remote, watching DVDs will become complicated as there are exclusive commands that only the remote can give!) Without a doubt, this is the best unit for your dollar compared to the much pricier Alpine and Eclipse units!”
